Fogo

In the archipelago of Cape Verde, the island of Fogo belongs to the group of the Sotavento, is the island with the highest point of the country. The "Pico do Fogo" with its 2829m of altitude it's one of the highest mountains of Cape Verde.

The island of Fogo has impressive volcanic landscapes and rich natural attractions, and the volcano of Fogo should be included on the list of places to visit.

Another activity not to be missed is the "Nhô São Filipe" celebrations, taking place from mid-April to May 1st, where it's possible to witness the cultural and popular manifestations of Fogo Island.
